Thanks for the info. That make sense now why I had the record button at different times. Know it is because like you said they have to have an Apple device.

So before you put any text into the text box, there should be a record button one swipe to the right of the edit box. It is the record button that you have to double tap and hold on, it will make a sound, then you hold your finger down on the button while you record your message, then when you are done, you release your finger. After you put text into the edit box, then the record button automatically turns into a send button. So make sure you record your message first.
