I don't think I'd use it to put a check in a printer. For organising a stack of pages, it does give you the degrees of orientation from presumed horizontal upright position so I'd use that info to stack the pages properly as I scanned each individually. It also can work with a scanning stand automatically taking pictures when sheets are placed in the stand. You're right in thinking that a more conventional scanner would be better for that sort of thing. However, for quickly finding out and getting an accurate reading of a page, I'd put KNFB Reader up against any OCR scanner.
