Hi Wayne,

I assume you know this, but just thought I mention it since you are using the
Remote app on your phone. The latest update of TVOS brought back Bluetooth
keyboard support and I think using a Bluetooth keyboard paired directly with
the Apple TV is by far the best experience for any sort of advanced usage. For
just basic stuff I personally prefer the remote that comes with the Apple TV
since I usually don't feel like having to unlock my iPhone, get into the remote
app and all that. Sorry, I don't know about screensavers with features you
mention, we usually put the Apple TV to sleep which automatically turns off the
TV when we are not actually using it since LCD TV's use a lot of power.

Regards,
Sieghard

Subject: Accessible Apple TV screen savers

Greetings. Over the weekend I got a new Apple TV 4th generation!
Thanks to Jonathan Mosen's book and some experimenting on my own, I have been
adjusting pretty well. At first I had trouble using the remote app on my iPhone
but that has gotten better and I'm now preferring the Remote app over the Siri
remote. I do hope/wish that Apple would add play/pause and Siri controls to the
Remote app at some point. My wife and I are excited about what we will be able
to do with the new addition. I am curious about something though. I'm wondering
if there are accessible screen savers for the Apple TV? I would want one that
perhaps announced the time/date and perhaps local forecast, or other
interesting information. I've done a search in the App Store and have found a
number of screen savers and quite a few free ones. I downloaded two free
options but one was not accessible and the other spoke somewhat but not
totally. If there are no natively accessible screen savers, are there any for
free that people have found useful/helpful/fun?

It is a joy to airplay content to the Apple TV, such as BARD books, music, and
other things.

Sincerely,
Wayne Merritt
