it is because you are reading them online as opposed to down loading them to
your device.
If you use the subscription button, then update subscriptions, they will be
down loaded to your device and you shouldn't see those kinds of hangs.

i would attribute it to intermittent connectivity.

Subject: NFB Newsline Misbehavior
Hi all,
When I use the NFB Newsline app to read newspapers such as the L.A. Times or
L.A. Daily News, or magazines such as Rolling Stone, it's great to read them
using my BrailleNote Apex. However, I've noticed some odd behavior and
wonder if anybody is having the same issue. Here's the scenario.

If I go into the Times, I'll see the various sections listed, e.g. business,
metro, entertainment, sports, and so on. When I tap on the sports section,
for example, I'll then get into its articles, at which time I navigate by
heading to get to an article that I want to read. I may or may not move to
another heading after finishing an article. Here's where it gets strange.
When I tap the Back button, I should expect to see the list of sections
again, but, most of the time I'll see a message that says "progress halted".
At this point I have to exit out of the newspaper or magazine entirely and
go back in. Needless to say, it's not the most efficient way of doing
things. Does the "progress halted' message indicate that I'm pulling down
these sections on the fly and that for some reason a download failed? More
often than not I'm doing all this while traveling to and from wark and using
3g. I tried this scenario at work today when I had a good solid wi-fi
connection and didn't experience the issue.

Can anybody shed some light on this problem and how best to solve it?

Thanks in advance.

Tom
