Hi,
What you do to lock your phone in portrait is to first put your finger on the
status bar which is at the top of your screen. That has the time, wifi, and
carrier network information. Now flick up with three fingers. This will get you
into the control center. Flick right until you find lick orientation. Double
tap to lock it. Now you can just press your home button to get you out. Hope
this helps,
Jenn

Hi John. To lock orientation, swipe up with three fingers to bring up the
control center. You should find the option to lock the orientation that way.
Hope that helps.
