I'm not sure if Apple have their own search engine servers, I thought siri might just submit any search term to the big boys like google, then filter the responses before sending it you back. Global web crawling is not really Apple's thing, so a bit of an error if they have one dedicated for siri's use. Some of the big names don't even do the crawling for themselves, they submit the search term to all the other biggest ones and combine the results. Apple could try that, but how to then filter would then be an issue.
In short, I don't necessarily know an answer, but am just looking at some of the related questions or issues. Or nobody else knows what I'm asking either! I just don't know why Siri's performance is so miserable at times when asking her to look something up or find something or answer a question. On the contrary when I plug something into a search engine I get far better results. I suppose these are two different systems of gathering information Deidre > On Jun 6, 2016, at 3:47 PM, Sieghard Weitzel <[email protected]> wrote: > > Whenever you are dictating it's like you are writing the information, except > for any potential mistakes SIRI will put exactly what > you say.
