Hi Grant, This sounds interesting if it works well, but I am also not quite prepared to shell out $40 Canadian (I assume it's $29.99 in the US) for a new app which nobody seems to have ever heard about. I also wonder about the following item in the feature explanation:
Hold the device flat (with the camera facing down) to take a still picture. This is useful when you're reading paper sheets on a desk. I wonder if this means that one has no control whether you want to hear live scan results when holding the device flat because if so then I think this should be changed to give the user control over whether to take a still picture or to use video. I may have a bunch of mail I might not necessarily want to scan accurately but I might want to just go through it and identify what' s what. In that case I would want to sit at my table or desk and hold the phone above the mail to hear what it reads to me in live video mode. Then of course there is the big question about how well it may read LCD displays on appliances or the computer screen.
