You can usually fix this by running your phone until it shuts down by itself, then plug it in a good long time (over night is best) then let it run down again until it shuts off and charge one more time over night. If that doesn't fix the issue I would make sure you have a good backup (encrypted iTunes backup is best) and do a restore. I can't see this being hardware related.

The battery indicator on my iPhone 6 has been saying 100% all day long and it finally shut down about half an hour ago without any warning. I don't know if the battery's shot or if the gauge somehow needs to be recalibrated. Earlir today I did a hard reset using both the home and power buttons held down for 6 seconds or so thinking that maybe the gauge would reset, but it didn't. So what do I do? Should I let it sit all night and then run it flat tomorrow and observe what the gauge does? Should I reset all settings? I've never run across this issue before so I'm in need of some good solid advice on this one. What say you? Thanks in advance. Tom Sent from my iPhone, which is on AC power at the moment... -- The following information is important for all members of the V iPhone list.
