If you have your boarding pass on the phone and fly only with carry-on you can go directly to security. I've been doing it for years when I fly Air Canada, fortunately the Air Canada app is quite accessible and it let's me add the boarding pass to Wallet so a couple of hours before the flight it shows up on the lock screen. When I get to the airport I just push the power button to wake up my phone, double tap on the Air Canada icon on the lock screen and my boarding pass is displayed to be scanned. Maybe let Southwest know their app isn't fully accessible.
