Blind Mice Mart sells an indoor out door thermometer. The unit talks giving you the time and temperature both indoor and outdoor at the top of the hour or on demand. The outdoor sensor requires 2 triple A batteries and the base station requires 2 double A batteries. I don't remember what I paid for the talking clock but it wasn't all that expensive and Blind Mice Mart has all the info. It can be set to read temperatures in either popular format your choice at the flick of a switch.
