Hi Marie, You might want to investigate range extenders which are not all that expensive and can probably extend your WiFi signal. Another option would be to get somebody to run an Ethernet cable from your router to the garage and install an inexpensive wireless access point there, an Apple Airport Express for around $60 would do the trick. CAT 5E Ethernet cables can easily be 100 or 150 feet long.
