Thanks very much, Mark.

I tried your suggestion of turning on the phone first. Then I opened a podcast
in Downcast and set the volume I wanted. Then I powered up the Edge. The volume
was more adjustable, even down to the whimper level.

For some reason, I've developed the habit of turning on the Edge before turning
on the phone. I won't do that anymore.

Thanks again, Keith

Subject: RE: Any way to turn down volume on a Plantronics Edge bluetooth
headset?

Hello Keith,

I have a similar setup with the Voyager Edge Bluetooth device.

I suppose sound comfort level is relative but I can get the volume quite low,
even down to what may be considered a whisper.

I did a couple of quick searches before posting this reply and could not find
any mention of any volume level concerns.

The only thing I can suggest is that you (1) be sure to reboot the phone before
powering on the Edge, (2) attempt to adjust the volume of the app before
powering on the Edge, or (3) attempt to adjust the volume levels while
VoiceOver is disabled.

I wish I could be of more help but I can think of nothing else, at this time.

Subject: Any way to turn down volume on a Plantronics Edge bluetooth headset?

Hi,

Running an iPhone 6, 128GB, with latest iOS.

I have a Plantronics Edge. Both work well together.

When I’m listening at night in a quiet room, the volume through the headset is
quite loud, and almost painful. The volume switch on the device is at Minimum,
and the Volume on the iPhone is at the lowest I can make it; one more press of
the volume down button makes it inaudible, and one press up from there is too
loud. I can make the thing even louder with either the Edge or the phone, but
I’d like to figure out if there’s away of making it even softer. It’s in my ear
on the side away from my wife, but even she can hear it rumbling, but not
clearly distinguish any words as it reads or thee radio is playing. The volume
workds well for me when I’m out and about during the day, when there’s plenty
of ambient noise.

Any ideas appreciated.

Keith
