Turning on audio description in settings on an Apple device has nothing to do with Netflix audio description. That setting is for movies on iTunes. The netflix audio description setting has to be turned on while you are in Netflix and pause the movie and set it up through there.

So, somewhere along the way they added it. That should fix it so if a show has audio description, it will play automatically.
