One possible idea, though it doesn't relate to the NPR News app, is to
subscribe to the various NPR programs via their podcasts. Many NPR
shows have dedicated podcasts which are updated each time a new show
is released/broadcasted. I don't know if this would allow you to
listen to whole segments of All Things Considered, or perhaps the
whole show, but it might work for your purposes.
