Hi Mary, I just tried this on my 6S Plus and did the same as you, I turned the rotor to form controls and swiped down and very quickly found the search box. However, for some reason when I double tapped nothing happened, edit mode did not start and no keyboard was displayed. This could of course be a temporary bug (let’s hope if that is so that it’s not semi-permanent) because I am running the iOS 10 Public Beta on my 6S Plus and bugs are to be expected.

I have the link to the Audible mobile store on my home screen. If I double tap that, then set my rotor to form controls, I can find the edit box within which to type whatever I want to search for, then double tap search and I'm good. No need to find some unlabeled buttons whose existence I was and remain unaware of.
