OK, so I didn't know this, apparently it can be done, but it seems to require jumping through more hoops than one would have to when installing Windows on a Mac. Also, the article you provided a link for mentions this:
Before we start, we should tell you that Apple’s licence for OS X expressly forbids it being installed on anything other than a Mac, so if you choose to do it, don’t say we didn’t warn you. I was always under the impression people want a Mac because it's considered to be better hardware and of course also because of the OS. Therefore I think if one wants a Mac then why not buy one instead of trying to recreate an experience which in all likelihood won't be as good.
