Oh yeah I tried everything. It wasn't even putting the text on the screen that the voice would speak when you ask for something. I got the begin and end chimes when I stopped speaking indicating that the phone heard what I said.

This may sound stupid, but while Siri was inaudibley talking, did you try
pressing the volume up button on your iPhone? Siri, volume and VoiceOver volume
are independent of each other.

Thanks,

So earlier my Siri quit working. I got the chimes, but no results for anything
including voice or text on the screen. This was driving me crazy because I knew
my mic was working and the phone was hearing what I was saying. I turned Siri
on and off and even did a soft reset and several reboots using the power off
button. Finally I decided to try one last thing which fixed the problem. I
turned both Siri and dictation off and back on. This fixed the problem. I even
had a highly inteligent member of this group working with me to help track this
issue down. We're both thinking technical and using lots of brain power trying
to fix it, however it was right there in front of us all along. The only reason
I thought to try turning off dictation is because it said that turning Siri off
wouldn't delete the information stored on Apple's servers. You have to turn
dictation off to do that. So just wanted to pass this along in case anyone else
ever has this issue.
