Hi Jerry, I apologize, I didn't realize that you had audiobooks, that were not purchased through Audible, on iTunes and that those were the ones you wanted to sync.
I just thought you were asking how to sync audiobooks in general. for audiobooks not purchased on Audible, I am not sure how this would be done. I haven't done that for a long while, back when iTunes was simple and easy to use. I would guess that you would import them into iTunes, go onto the page that list the various media types on your iPhone, where you find the "Summary", Music", "Tones", and all those different media, select the Audiobooks item, and I am guessing that you would have a checkbox that would say something like "Sync Audiobooks", similar to the one you would find under the "Tones" and "Music" sections, and tab until you land in the list of audiobooks in your library, then press the spacebar to select those you wish to sync, and then tab until you land on either the "Sync" or "Apply" buttons. Then you press on one of those and the sync process should start. The only thing that I am not sure is where would you find the files on your phone then. You used to be able to open the Music app and select the Audiobook tab at the bottom, but I am not sure if you still have that one in Music, now that they use this app for Apple Music. Another option as well, if you have a Victor Reader Stream, you could always copy the files into the "Other Books" folder on your SD card and play those auidobooks through the VR Stream. That is always an option. A friend of mine got me lots of Star Wars and other book series that 've simply copied to my stream and read them that way. Again, my apologies for the confusion. I can, and have, done this, but it really galls me to have to buy books that I already own, just because iTunes is not accessible!! I did this for the entire incarnations of immortality series by Piers Anthony, but do not want to re-buy the thousands of books I already have on my computer. I do appreciate the info, though. This is a viable way to get books on the iPhone. I just hate to have to buy all those books again, I hope you understand. I am not trying to be ungrateful, I'm just fed up with iTunes. Whenever your credits arrive, simply log onto the site through a computer, purchase your audiobooks and once the purchase is complete, open the app on your iPhone and refresh. To Refresh, find the tab at the top of the window that says "Cloud" and do a one finger double tab to select. Then swipe right with one finger until you hear your Audible book cloud library, then do a three finger swipe down and that should refresh your library. If that doesn't work, go into the Settings and there is a option to refresh the library. This method, there is no need for a computer to sync, just need it to log on to the site and make the purchase. Once that is done, the rest is done on the phone. When you want to listen to a book, just do a one finger double tap on the book and it will begin to download it. If you want to only see the list of books that are downloaded, where you found the "cloud" tab at the top, right next to it you will find a tab that says "device", this will list only the books that are downloaded onto your phone. If you have a small data cap, you might want to also wish to go into the settings of the Audible app and allow downloads only via wi-fi. Once the book is downloaded, you double tap on it again and it begins playing. It's as easy as that. Hope this helps! I am getting desperate now! I have tried everything I can find to get audio books onto my iPhone. I even bought iExplore because it said you could mount the folders like a windows drive, but no luck! I also bought the JTunes scripts for iTunes, and can't get to the audio books from there either! If anyone can tell me how to put audio books on my iPhone 6 from my Windows 7 PC, I would be very grateful! I had not wanted to jail-break my iPhone, but if that is the only way, I guess I can try that. please send any ideas you have!
