Hi. I think the pauses vary by voice to voice. When I use a Neospeech voice or one of the built-in iOS voices, the pauses are pretty short. However, when I use a voice from Acapela, the pauses are a lot longer than Neospeech or iOS voices. Why not try an Acapela voice and see what that gives you?
