Hi List, I recently read the thread and Jonathan's blog post about smart scales. I don't think the following was mentioned in Jonathan's article:

This scale certainly seems to be on the expensive end of the spectrum, but it also sounds like a good device. What I was wondering is whether anybody has it and how accessible the app is. Hopefully Qardio has made it as accessible as the app for the wireless blood pressure monitor and it would seem like they have considered the visually impaired community since in their description of the scale they say: QardioBase body fat scale is designed for the whole family to enjoy, cleverly recognizing multiple users of the same household automatically. HAPTIC FEEDBACK: With haptic feedback, a gentle vibration lets you know your measurement has been taken, suitable for those with visual impairment. If anybody has feedback about this scale and how easy it is to use the app and get a basic weight readout I'd appreciate any comments. If Jonathan reads this I'd be interested if this scale wasn't yet on the market when he wrote that blog post or whether it simply wasn't in his list of devices he was testing.
