If I have the ISBN number, which is easy to get with Bookshare, I don't remember if BARD records that, I use the field for ISBN. Otherwise, I use the book title and pick the one that matches with the author. There are often multiple editions so that is a bit of a guessing game. Then, I go through and fill out the other parts I want to keep track of. Remember, after that initial screen with the title and author, when you add something like Read date, you will find a save button in the upper right. Double tap on that before you continue to the next thing, like format, or whatever. Then, hit the Save button in the upper right on that main screen and you will have that entry done. Also, the developer is good about answering questions if needed. There is a new mode in settings that seems to be the default called "Shelf." It displays the books as pictures like they were on a book shelf. If you go into settings and double tap where it says "Mode Shelf" it will say selected. Then in the bottom of the screen you will find a picker item. Flick up once and the mode should change to "list" which is once again accessible with VoiceOver. I had a few minutes of panic when I thought I'd lost the record of what I have read in the last few years.
