This depends somewhat on the iPhone being used, but Apple says after about 500 cycles you should still have 80% of your batteries capacity left. I Googled around a bit and found all sorts of numbers, but what I stated above seems to be the most consistent and agreed with what Apple says.

Subject: Re: iPhone battery cycles

I read where iPhones are supposed to last for around three years. Some
will probably last longer and less than that, but that's the average.
I've also read that batteries will charge between 900 and 1200 times.
Not sure exactly when they would start to lose their strength, but it
probably has a lot to do with how much stress the battery has been under
and how much it's been subjected to heat. I know the Nexus 6 used to get
really hot when watching videos and stuff like that. But the Nexus 6P
doesn't seem to get near as hot. I personally think that the larger the
screen, the more warmth it's going to generate and put more stress on
that battery. My iPhone SE never gets hot unless I'm doing a software
update. But even then it doesn't get hot that long.
