I couldn't agree with you more, Christopher. The notion that you have to have 
headphones to do dictation is insane. And you didn't used to have to have them. 
So this is a bug and it needs to be fixed. But it didn't start with iOS 9 .34. 
And while it is extremely inconvenient, it is not the end of the world, like 
that article seems to be saying.
