Hi Kelly, If I had anything below an iPhone 6S I would definitely upgrade, but I think 6S and 6S Plus users are much better off waiting until next year since even the 6S/6S Plus are highly water resistant (a fact that was not advertised) and while the A10 Fusion processor is undoubtably faster, the A9 CPU is also very fast and good. Coming from an iPhone 5 you are jumping two full generations and also will notice much better battery performance and probably better and faster OCR if you use KNFB Reader or other apps. Of course you'll also get Touch Id which I think was a huge deal and with it the ability to use Apple Pay.

I discovered the touch screen on the iPhone doesn’t work with wet fingers. Eventually the iPhone stopped working. I thought my magic iPhone was a goner. Nevertheless I took it out of its case at home and rubbed it down with a dry towel and put a fan on it. I plugged it into the power supply and presto it came to life.
