Hi Carla, Not sure how quickly you will need the thermostat, but one thing to keep in mind is that Tim Cook made a comment during today's keynote which hinted at "hundreds of new devices" coming to market later this year and into early next year all of which will conform to Apple specs for Home Kit. This is one area I think they will push and I have a feeling that in the years to come we'll hear a lot more about this. From things I read and heard in Podcasts many expect that one day the Apple TV will be a hub for home automation as well and this would make total sense since it is easily able to handle them and it just sits there all the time right in the living room. Home automation is a big market and Apple will want to get their piece of the pie and if they have their way they will want a big piece.
