I just went and checked a message that I had received with an attachment, and I
could see it with voice over, and when I did a double tap and hold, the pop up
menu came up where you can open it in another app, save it to dropbox, or more.
I went to the bottom of the screen by touching near the home button where the
reply, delete and other buttons are, swiped left to the mark button, and then
one more swipe left put me on the attachment.

Hope this helps,

Chris
