Hi Ricardo, Damashe and others, I think Damashe is more or less correct in that the 4s and 5 camera specs are mostly the same. It seems the main difference in hardware is the Sapphire lens cover and some sort of better low light performance. They also mention "precision alignment of the lenses" to which Rob from the Today in iOS Podcast asked "hmm, so the 4S lenses were not precision aligned? Just saying". Some other camera improvements may simply be due to the faster processor which may lead to improved image processing, but the Panorama mode, for example, is simply an iOS 6 feature which the iPhone 4S will also get. One other difference between the 4S and 5 is the fact that the front camera on the 5 is a high definition camera capable of 720P for Facetime and Skype video so it's just a bit easier for your sighted friends and family to see those spots you missed shaving or the imperfection in how the ladies applied their make-up *smile*.
I think a few real improvements are in the touch screen which now uses different technology and is supposed to register touches in a more precise way, the fifth row of icons due to the larger size is nice, the 3 microphones which probably improve noise cancellation properties are nice and apps and stuff will open just a bit faster. LTE I think is highly over rated unless you use your iPhone to download a lot fo stuff or you use it as a hotspot to download with your computer. When LTE coverage is as good as 3G coverage right now then maybe it's nice to have. Battery life from all appearances is very much the same as on the 4S and I have not yet heard anything as to whether the RAM has been increased, Apple did not mention it although most assume it's now 1 Gig instead of 512 Mb, once again this will improve the overall experience by making things a touch faster here and there and maybe some apps perform just better with the faster processor and more RAM. I must agree with Raul, none of the improvements cause a big "Wpow" effect for me. One thing I think would have been a nice touch is if they had included that button to attach the wrist loop which the new iPod Touches have. Those, by the way, are very interesting and have received a huge face lift over the fourth generation. I think with the new 5 MP auto focus camera apps like money reader, Digit Eyes and even OCR apps should do quite well and become much more useable on an iPod Touch. Too bad it didn't get a GPS.
