Hi Kathy, Voices like Alex take a long time to download. Alex is over 800 MB, and several of the other voices are in the 400 to 500 MB range. Once you choose one, there's a Download button next to it you need to press. After a few seconds, that button will show the progress of the download. Once the download is done, you'll often have two choices, one of which is the voice name, and the other is the voice name followed by the word Advance. Choose the one you want.
