I'm thinkin' Apple WILL release a NEW & Improved AppleWatch SomeTime

But I could be Wrong

As a new device there maybe more frequent updates in the first
years, but just as with the Apple TV or the iPod Touch I somehow
doubt Apple will release a new watch every year. They'll of course
improve Watch OS, but I don't think there will be new watch hardware
every year. Having said this there are of course rumours that
there's a good chance Apple may release a new watch next year which
has its own 3G/LTE modem and hence could be completely independent
from the iPhone. I can see how this is Apple's next goal, but of
course they have to make a major breakthrough in either battery
technology or low-powered LTE chips because while everybody wants
this, nobody wants a watch with a 5-hour battery life and nobody
wants a bigger, thicker watch to accommodate a larger battery. How
much of a challenge this is becomes clear when you put the iPhone in
Airplane mode even if you turn WiFi back on, battery life suddenly
goes up in a mmajor way which goes to show how much battery power is
needed to constantly ping cell towers and maintain a cellular connection.
Lastly, a comment about toys. I also like them, but I have
fortunately passed the point where I thought I needed a new iPhone
every year just because the new one tested to be just a bit faster
and had a few new features. I really don't see how people feel the
need to upgrade from a 6S or 6S Plus to a 7 or 7 Plus if their phone
from last year is in good shape. Intel comes out with a new
generation of processor every year, but I certainly don't feel the
need to upgrade my laptop or PC every year. I am also considering
buying an Apple Watch and I also didn't buy one when it first came
out because of the fact that it was a first generation device. I am
now thinking of it because of the silent way to get time, the fact
it is waterproof and that it may have some benefits in terms of
fitness and also because I could listen to a book on very low volume
with my wrist near my head at night without disturbing my wife and
without having to wear a headset.
Best regards,
Sieghard

Subject: Apple watch
Ok,
So, I am a guy who likes his toys, but because I like my toys, I
tend to not care of the pricing of them as long as they are well
worth the money.
So, the first watch that came out, I didn't think twice about not
getting it because it was just the first version.
I am now thinking of buying the new version, however, something is
making me pause.
Do you think these watches will come out as frequently as the phones?
If so, man, that might be a stinker because I usually get a new
phone every single time they come out with a new one. Buying a watch
on top of a new phone might get nuts. Not to mention expensive.
Thoughts?
I guess if you get a new watch each year, one will learn to sell or
put old watch on E-Bay?
Anyways, for those of you who got version one, and now version 2 of
the watch that just came out, what are your views and or opinions?
Do you think you will get a new watch every single year they come out?
Or is it one of those things you play it by ear as each one comes
out. If it is a massive improvement yeah, but if it is just meh, then you wait?
Anyways, I look forward to views and or opinions.
