Flick down and double tap on expands thread. Then flick right through the messages. If you have a preview on, you will then see the preview of each one as you flick through. But there isn't a way of double tapping and seeing that whole list. When the thread is not expanded, double tapping on it opens the top message in the thread, in which case you can see that message. And then the flicking down for Messages is supposed to work to let you see the rest of the messages in the thread. But you have to make sure your rotor is on Messages.
