The processor not being quad core, and instead being duel core, do you actually understand what differences that may or may not make on the ground? I do not ask flippantly, simply as an honest question… Just because other handset manufacturers are putting quad core into some devices, doesn't mean its necessary.
Those handsets may need them as their OS is bloaty, or because apps are written poorly for the platform etc, then again, perhaps not. iOS maybe written in a way that means that it just does not need it. A case in point, only very recently have we seen the first duel core Windows PHone 7 device, this when for years other handsets have had duel and even quad core processors. Yet, in bench mark testing of single core Windows Phone 7 devices against even quad core Android devices, the Windows Phone 7 devices have out performed in a range of common tasks. My point, as with many things in the computing world, simple measurements like processor cores, RAM, speed of cores etc, are not in their own right a quantitative measurement or standard worthy of comparison, only when the whole picture is taken into account can one truly say that x product is better or not.
