If all you want to do is send a basic text message then it's really no different than before. Yes, the send button is a bit smaller, but if you are typing text and are in the edit field all it takes is a flick right and you are on it.

The best way to find it is to slide right while in the text box and you should see it. Some times if you put your finger in the right place you'll get it pretty quick.
