I would take a look at the UE Boom or Mega Boom, these are made by Logitech and "UE" stands for "Ultimate Ears". These are very nice 360 degree speakers which are waterproof and get great ratings. They are, however, not cheap, but the quality you get of course is very much related to what you spend. If you are looking for something under $100 nothing will give you really good sound quality. The Ultimate Ears line of speakers can be used as single speakers or you can buy two and set them up as a stereo pair.
