Hi Rick,
I know when the iPhone's first came out, there were issues with T-Mobile. I 
thought, however, that the updates that T-Mobile came out with for their 
carrier settings had solved the problem.  I am on T-Mobile as well, and as far 
as I know, don't have a problem. I know that's not helpful for you. Good luck.
