I don't see Google listed on his LinkedIn profile, so I don't know if he works for Google or ever has. I tend to just take people's posts at face value, so it usually isn't too important to me if they're employees of a particular company or not.

Yes Kevin works for Google in some capacity as he is all over these lists.
Funny though he never responds when asked a point blank question about Google’s
accessibility issues on the mac. Until Google can make gmail, google groups,
and their spreadsheet programs completely accessible I find stuff they claim to
be laughable. I am sure google’s stuff is more accessible when using JAWS but I
am on the mac side.

I know people who have set up their wi-fi for alexa just fine. Jonathan in his

This is not so great news as I just purchased an echo dot, but all this aside
what do you all use your echo for? Is the skills accessible either on ie web or
in the alexa app?

They should be here tomorrow, so I guess I'll be either having success or
hitting a brick wall.

I too could not setup the wifi portion of the Echo Dot using the Alexa app, and
finally had to get sighted help to do this (I don't have a mac to fallback to).

I've been complaining to Amazon for several months (being an original Echo
owner) about a list of accessibility issues with the Alwxa app, and with the
Alexa web page when used via the Internet Explorer Windows browser; they have
done absolutely nothing at all to fix any of the problems. They are the least
responsive large company I have yet come across as regards accessibility issues.

Subject: Alexxa App

Hey all,

I am a long time owner of the Amazon Echo and was very excited to have my new
Dot arrive today. Unfortunately the accessibility of the Alexa app has gone
backwards. I could not set up my Dot in the app, as I could not get the connect
to wifi part to work and VO crashed multiple times when trying to do so. I also
deleted the Alexxa app and reinstalled it thinking there might have been a bug
on my end. No luck. Do not even bother trying to set up the Dot on the mac as
all wifi networks are read as one continuous list and you can't select your
wifi network. What finally worked setting the Dot up was doing it in Chrome on
the mac as the Amazon set up page read all wifi networks as it should be
different items. Anyway just wanted to get this out there as I spent hours
trying to get the Dot up and running. It seems to be connected and working fine
now just waiting it to reboot as I changed the wake word and thought this might
be helpful to someone.
