I have never had an issue with my screen either. But there is a first time for everything, and these are not very expensive. My husband has had two scream protectors crack. If it weren't for the fact that he had the screen protector, the screen would've cracked. He's not using an iPhone, and he's obviously harder on his phones than I am. But there is a first time for everything. And given the price, I couldn't disagree with you more about the advisability of purchasing a screen protector. Mary
