Hello,
I have two braille displays: a Focus 14 and a Brailliant Bi 40.
I primarily use the Focus with my ipad, but I prefer using my
Brailliant when I need to do something that requires a lot of
reading, such as deleting email or looking at a website in
Safari. I am having an issue in which the Brailliant is locking
up when typing a text or email message. When I was on Ios 9, it
locked up to the point where the whole ipad became unresponsive
and my only option was to completely shut down the ipad and then
power back on. Voiceover worked as normal, but the braille
display was still locked up. I ended up having to turn off the
Brailliant and turn it back on. I installed the latest version
of Ios this morning and while it is better than it was, I'm still
having the issue with the display freezing when typing. I am not
having any issues when using the display for navigation; it's
only when typing. I contacted tech support at Humanware and they
were not sure what to do either. Therefore, if anyone else uses
a Brailliant, have you or are you still experiencing a similar
behavior in Ios 9 and did it completely resolve when you updated
to 10? Is there anything I can do to help alleviate this?
