Hi Andrew, I just went through the same thing as my iPhone 6S Plus was replaced on warranty and I set the replacement phone up as a new phone, then updated it (it still had 9.0.2 on it) and then I added my email accounts, contacts etc. Anyhow, here is what you do:
Go into the contact you want to add to Favorites Double tap on Add to Favorites The “Add to Favorites” menu pops up and you probably have something like this: Message, mobile or maybe you have Message, iPhone Call, Mobile or Call, iPhone Mail If you listen closely when you swipe to where it says “Call” you will notice that Voiceover says “Actions available”. This means the action rotor is present. Swipe down and you will hear “Show Options”. Double tap on that and you now see all numbers available for the contact and you can pick the one you want to add as a favorite. The same goes once you have a number added to Favorites. There used to be a “More Info” button to the right of the numbers and this opened the contact and you could pick another number, now you have to swipe down on the Favorite to accomplish this.
