I love the pedometer called Stepz (with a z on the end). It is VO friendly and very easy to use. The icon badge shows the number of steps. If it needs to update this I just tap to open it and then close it right away and the total is updated on the home screen. I missed the first part of this thread so if this doesn’t apply to your needs, sorry. But I love this app! and it is useful

The social aspects of this app needs more features to really be great. Having said that, this app has a great foundation and potential. Here's what would make it a 5-star app: 1. I can only see my friends current day's data. If I don't view it by the end of the day I can't see how we all compared, or look back over the week. Please add friend historical data! 2. Can only view friend's step count, would be nice to see the whole day in an hourly histogram. It lets you know when they were really active or not to praise or encourage them. "Wow, you did 3000 step at lunchtime, great job!" 3. You can't message your friends! This is a big one, and would be a logical next step add! 4. This one is probably a pipe dream, but the Jawbone app connect with other fitness apps like MapMyRun and many others. When you do an activity with one of those apps, when linked imports the data and adds to your "newsfeed" (e.g. Mike went for a 5 mile run!) 5. Mood emoticons.
