Roku is rolling out a firmware update for their current products, such as the streaming stick, which is presently on sale at both Best Buy and Amazon for $34.99. When updated, these products will feature and audio guide, which is supposed to enable blind people being able to navigate the system via a screen reader. The firmware is supposed to be available for all of the current devices by mid December according to Roku. Why is this relevant to this list? There is an iPhone app for Roku devices. One of the things this app lets you do is voice search. You can't do a voice search with the remote that comes with the cheaper Roku was such as the express or the streaming stick. You may be able to do other things with the iPhone app as well, such as navigate the system. I have no idea if it's accessible on the iPhone. And I would be willing to bet that once you open an app on the system such as Netflix or the Amazon app, it might not be accessible. They're only talking about the menu system and navigating around the screen, rather like what you get with voice view on the fire stick or with some apps, like sling TV on Apple TV. So, it's hit or miss. But Roku has a ton of channels. And some of them you just tap and play. So if this interests you, go for it. Mary
