Hi Sherry, Not sure what is happening, but I would simply delete the account in Settings > Mail and set it up again.

Now I have been prompted to enter my password. This would not be a problem but when I double click on the password field I see the keyboard flash onscreen then disappear. I tried several times with a double tap & a split tap. The keyboard will simply not stay onscreen so I can enter the password. I tried getting out of mail & going back in & have also shut off the phone & turned it back on. In mail, I have gone to settings which also prompts for a password.
