The sE isn't that small, no smaller than our old favourites like 5S. They were Ok then, so sE should still be Ok now. Tucking into waistband sounds weigh less than secure mind. Needs a really good case, which will bulk it up and make it less sleek to do the waistband thing.
I still use a 5S with Otterbox case, it's not that bad really. So sE shouldn't be significantly different to that.
