hi, Just to report on my own experience re leaving the phone dormant: I recently went to Italy for five weeks, I took my iPhone 6 and for S with me, but thought it overkill to take my old four, so, I left it at home. I charged it fully and then left it unplugged but powered off. when I got back, I forgot about the four for about two weeks, then I fired it up. it still had 92% battery! what a winner that old Four is, maybe because its not got a Sim card, but it actually has the best battery life of all of my iPhones.
