At least the problem of having only one HDMI port can be easily fixed. All you need is a 2-port, 3-port or 5-port (whatever you feel you need) HDMI splitter. I have a 3-Port box hooked up to my BenQ LCD computer screen and I have two PC’s hooked up to port 1 and port 2 of the box, respectively. Sometimes when I have my laptop at work and want to use a larger screen when working with staff I connect it to a third cable I have plugged in to the splitter and which is just hanging there. The box is pretty good figuring out which device you are using, but I did hear that the Apple TV doesn’t always work with this auto-sensing technology. But most of these HDMI splitters come with a simple remote and you just press the appropriate button for the input you want, mine has 3 vertical buttons, the top one is port 1, the middle one is 2 and the bottom one is 3 so it’s very easiy to use and they are inexpensive, probably $25 or $30 or maybe a bit more if you buy a 5-port.
