Hey Don,

The timing on the traffic lights is one of my goals as well, is not that difficult to implement it but it will take more than one man to do it, so far i'm the only one working on this new idea.

If you guys can share it i'm sure it will help me to get there faster and help you after.

Cheers,
Erjon.

I think in somewhat rural areas this is a good idea especially
where there are no sidewalks or curb cuts.

I however live in New York city where it is perfectly obvious
    where the traffic lights are.

I do think however there is a way to tell the state of the traffic
light and I would encourage you to investigate this possibility.

Knowing for sure if there is a walk or don't walk signal or if the
light is red or green, would be great.

Usually you can tell from the traffic paterns but when the
traffic is grid locked it gets really difficult.

Knowing how much time is left on the clock durring a walk cycle
would also be a real help.

Since the traffic lights are computer controled this information
is probagbly abled to be monitored in some way.

    Thanks for considering this.
