It appears to me that it is. Tonight, I tried to change the compact Irish-English Moira voice’s pronunciation of the word ‘tyre’ – which it pronounces as tear, (shed a tear for me!), and which is, in US spelling, tire, – to ‘tire’. I was unsuccessful. Even though VO successfully played the tire replacement, it wouldn’t take. Applied to all languages, it still wouldn’t take. I spelled out the word on the keyboard, and brailled it; no good. I could only find a ‘done’ button after the edit button when the word and substitution had already been put in. I tried that, and no better.
am I missing something here? Does one have to dictate the word? -- The following information is important for all members of the V iPhone list.
