Hi Charlotte, First, are you working on a Mac or Windows computer?
Second, do your ringtones show in your iTunes library? If you have a windows machine and your ringtones are not showing in iTunes, open your iTunes media folder in windows explorer. Copy your ringtones from wherever you saved them and paste them into the automaticallly add to iTunes folder found in the iTunes media folder. Close iTunes and restart it. Now you should see your ringtones in the appropriate tab within iTunes. Now connect your phone to the computer and sync. If you have a Mac I can't help with that.
