DT music and you can choose what to delete
option 2:
settings/music
optimize music lets you determine how much is stored on your device.

Debbie has one of the paid iCloud accounts.
i need to clear some space on my phone for installing new apps and software. Is
it possible to remove music from the phone, but keep it in iCloud? I don't want
to use iTunes for this exercise, so any information needs to be about removing
music directly from the phone.
