Hello all, My husband got a new iPad for Christmas. He had never put his devices on iTunes, so I backed up his iPhone and then, after setting up his iPad as new according to Apple instructions, I backed up his iPhone to iTunes and then restored the iPad from that backup. Unfortunately, nothing backed up, although his photos, music, and apps are still on the iPhone.
