Hello. From within a book, first do a double-tap which brings up the menu button plus other options. You then need to get to the menu button on the top left and double-tap it. This brings up the larger menu which includes the library option. Double-tap on that to get out of your book and into the library. That major menu has other things too which aren't present in the minor menu reached by double-tapping the first time from within the book. For one thing, instead of taking the library option, flick right and you can go through a table of contents provided a book has one. Hope this helps you out.
